The summer Mainstage Season will launch with the world premiere of Carey Crim's Conviction. Directed by Schwartz, the show is produced in association with the Royal Manitoba Theatre Centre, Rubicon Theatre Company and Dead Posh Productions.

Conviction, according to press notes, concerns a "charismatic, confident and caring, Tom Hodges, who is a teacher students adore and parents admire. The smart, wise-cracking colleague with all the answers. The neighbor who takes care of the neighborhood. The perfect husband and father. But when a student accuses Tom of crossing a line, everything changes. This delicately balanced, beautifully nuanced new family drama digs deep beneath the surface of a happy suburban existence to explore the damage done when seeds of mistrust are planted. It asks the question, 'How can we live with conviction when some questions cannot be answered.'"

The Maintage Season will continue with Lillian Hellman's The Little Foxes. Hellman’s play, according to Bay Street, is the "story of the Hubbard family in Alabama in 1900 as they scheme, connive and campaign for control of the family business and fortune. A delicious portrait of devious and cut throat siblings who will do anything to get what they want. The play is also a prescient exploration of the effect of greed on American society, and it rings as true today as it did when originally produced in 1939."

The third show of the Mainstage Season will be a musical that will be announced soon.
