Cassidy, who is the understudy to both Norbert Leo Butz and Gregory Jbara, will offer an evening of tunes from the sixties through the nineties. Accompanied by a five-piece band — including Mary-Mitchell Campbell, Tony Steele, Greg Koch and Lee Morgan — concertgoers can expect to hear tunes by Stevie Wonder, Eric Clapton, Marvin Gaye, The Black Crowes, Styx and Queen. Show time is 8 PM at the Ars Nova Theater.
In addition to Dirty Rotten Scoundrels, Cassidy has also performed principal roles in 1776, Show Boat, Les Misérables and A Christmas Carol. His other New York credits include Listen to My Heart: The Songs of David Friedman, Encores! and a solo evening at Joe's Pub.
