News SCR's Managing Director Tomei Elected Treasurer of TCG Paula Tomei, managing director of South Coast Repertory, has been elected treasurer of Theatre Communications Group (TCG), the national organization for the American not-for-profit theatre. Tomei and playwright Henry David Hwang (vice president) are new officers joining president Kent Thompson, artistic director of Alabama Shakespeare Festival; vice president Judith O. Rudin, chairman of the board of Playwrights Horizon; and secretary Linda Hartzell, artistic director of Seattle Children's Theatre.

Paula Tomei, managing director of South Coast Repertory, has been elected treasurer of Theatre Communications Group (TCG), the national organization for the American not-for-profit theatre. Tomei and playwright Henry David Hwang (vice president) are new officers joining president Kent Thompson, artistic director of Alabama Shakespeare Festival; vice president Judith O. Rudin, chairman of the board of Playwrights Horizon; and secretary Linda Hartzell, artistic director of Seattle Children's Theatre.At SCR, Tomei is responsible for the overall administration of the day-to-day operations. She has been a member of the SCR staff since 1979. She graduated from the University of California, Irvine, with a degree in Economics.
