News SDCF Hosts a Conversation With Choreographer Marge Champion May 20 Choreographer, dancer and actress Marge Champion will participate in "A Conversation with Marge Champion and Colleagues," a May 20 panel hosted by the Stage Directors and Choreographers Foundation (SDCF) at Collaborative Art Projects (CAP) 21, 18 W. 18th St in Manhattan.

Choreographer, dancer and actress Marge Champion will participate in "A Conversation with Marge Champion and Colleagues," a May 20 panel hosted by the Stage Directors and Choreographers Foundation (SDCF) at Collaborative Art Projects (CAP) 21, 18 W. 18th St in Manhattan.

Joining Champion will be choreographers Peter Gennaro (Little Me, Annie) and Geoffrey Holder (The Wiz). They will discuss a host of topics, including the history of choreography and how the art has changed over the years.

Champion appeared in the films The Story of Vernon and Irene Castle, The Party, and The Swimmer. She teamed up with dancer-choreographer-director Gower Champion in 1945 and married him two years later. She won an Emmy in 1975 for her choreography of the TV special "Queen of the Stardust Ballroom."
