News Seattle New Voices Concert to Feature Kendra Kassebaum and Louis Hobson Kendra Kassebaum and Louis Hobson will join the Seattle-based theatre company Contemporary Classics to showcase the work of new musical theatre writers Aug. 15.

The New Voices concert will be offered at A Contemporary Theatre at 7:30 and 10:30 PM. The concert is presented as part of ACT's Central Heating Lab, which is devoted to nurturing new works.

Brandon Ivie will host the concerts, which will have musical direction by R.J. Tancioco.

Kassebaum (Wicked, Rent) and Hobson (Next to Normal, The People in the Picture) will join Vicki Noon (Wicked, Mamma Mia!), Kasey Nusbickel (Anne of Green Gables), Greg McCormick Allen (White Christmas), Jordon Bolden, Jared Michael Brown, Elise Campello, Molli Corcoran, Sarah Davis, CJ Eldred, Aaron Finley, Lindsey Hedberg, Kirsten Delohr Helland, Jerick Hoffer, Diana Huey, Jessica Low, Ryan McCabe, Naomi Morgan, Henry Nettleton, Ryah Nixon, Eliza Palasz, Kat Ramsburg, Alex Rumbolz, Patrick Shelton, Erin Sprow, Kat Ramsburg, Jared Rein, Connor Russell, Patrick Shelton and William A. Williams.

Among the writers whose work will be performed are Joey Contreras, Andre Catrini, Jonathan Reid Gealt, Ryan Scott Oliver, Michelle Elliot and Danny Larsen, Drew Gasparini, Scott Burkel and Paul Loesel, Michael R. Jackson and Kori Withers, Joel Waggoner and EllaRose Cherry, Brian Lowdermilk and Kait Kerrigan, Benj Pasek and Justin Paul, and Seattle writer Chris Jeffries.
