Cherry Cherry Lemon may make a Las Vegas gambler groan in pain, but the Seattle Fringe Festival hit produced enough laughs earlier in the year to elict a return run at Re-bar that's now been extended to Dec. 22. Performances began Oct. 11 for the show, which was to end Nov. 25. (The production's Thursday-Sunday schedule will end, however, leaving only Sunday performances for the rest of the run.). The piece, written by playwright Keri Healey, also features Aaron Loidhamer on guitar.

Amy Augustine and Keira McDonald star as two single women who act out their incredibly messy lives to original music by Loidhamer. Cherry Cherry Lemon looks at random friendships, bad sex with small penises, good orgasms with bad men and the horrors of psychotherapy. Or as the official press release describes the comedy: "This is beer-drinking, gut busting, butt-talking, heart-melting TRASH."

Showerhead, a short written and performed by McDonald, opens the evening. In the playlet, a youngish women is traumatized by seeing her ex-boyfriend snuggling up to his new girlfriend at the Home Depot. Her undertoned body comes alive with its varying opinions on the scene, creating a puppetry of lipids as her right arm fat argues with her left arm fat and her butt and belly try to get a word in edgewise.
