When all August performances of the Actor's Express production of Steve Murray's Rescue & Recovery sold out, the Atlanta, GA company added four more weeks to the run of this raunchy comedy-drama. Now those have sold out, so R&R has extended once again, this time through Halloween.
The world premiere of Murray's erotic drama opened July 11 and was initially scheduled to end Aug. 29. The first extension was through Sept. 26; the latest is through Oct. 31.
Chris Coleman (New York Theatre Workshop's The Gimmick) directs Rescue, about a couple whose marriage disintegrates after the wife finds out her husband is having an affair with a nurse named Kyle.
The cast includes Brad Sherrill, Kathleen Wattis, Jeff McKerley, Jeff Feldman, and Rob Beams.
Tickets ($20-$25) are available by calling the Actor's Express box office (the King Plow Arts Center on West Marietta Street NW) at (404) 875 SHOW. Actor's Express is located on the web at http://www.actorsexpress.com. -- By David Lefkowitz & Sean McGrath
