Manhattan Theatre Club has appointed Robyn Goodman its new director of artistic development. Goodman will work with MTC Artistic Director Lynn Meadow and Associate Artistic Director Michael Bush on the programming of the company's season. She will also work on the creation of new plays. Goodman founded Second Stage with Carole Rothman in 1979 and served as its co-artistic director with Rothman until 1992. (Rothman remains as Second Stage's artistic director.) She left to join ABC as director in charge of writer development. She was also supervising producer on the soap "One Life to Live."
Currently at MTC are the concert group, "Hot Mouth," and A.R. Gurney's Labor Day. Power Plays, currently at the Promenade, is also an MTC production.
