David Cook, the winner of the seventh season of American Idol, made his Broadway debut in the Tony-winning musical Kinky Boots April 3 at the Al Hirschfeld Theatre.

Cook steps into the role of Charlie Price for a limited engagement through May 5. The rock star, who released his new EP Chromance earlier this year, succeeds Jake Shears.
