Billy Porter, Priscilla Lopez, and more came out for Opening Act's 12th Annual Play Reading Gala, Hear Me Here, at New World Stages March 13. The event, directed by Kenny Leon, featured world premieres written by Dominique Fishback (HBO's The Deuce), Christopher Oscar Peña (HBO's Insecure), and the students of Opening Act, as well as special musical performances.
Opening Act is a nonprofit organization which brings free afterschool theatre programming to underserved New York City public high schools.
