Chicago ensemblist Donna Marie Asbury took her final bow with the production June 3 after 20 years in the long-running hit revival. To honor Asbury’s tenure, the show’s producers Barry and Fran Weissler joined the company onstage after the evening's performance for a celebration of her time with the show.

During her time in the production, Asbury performed in the ensemble role of June and covered the roles of Velma Kelly and Mama Morton.

The revival of Chicago opened November 14, 1996. With a book by Fred Ebb and Bob Fosse, music by John Kander and lyrics by Ebb, The production is now the longest-running American musical in Broadway history.

The Broadway production, playing at the Ambassador Theatre, currently stars Charlotte d’Amboise as Roxie Hart, Amra-Faye Wright as Velma Kelly, Ryan Silverman as Billy Flynn, Raymond Bokhour as Amos Hart, NaTasha Yvette Williams as Matron “Mama” Morton, and R. Lowe as Mary Sunshine.
