A new trailer for Marshall has been released ahead of the film’s release this fall; watch it above. The movie, which stars Black Panther actor Chadwick Boseman and Tony nominee and Frozen star Josh Gad, details the early career of Thurgood Marshall, the first African-American Justice of the Supreme Court.
Marshall is directed by television director Reginald Hudlin, also the producer of Django Unchained, and is slated for release October 13.
The film chronicles an early career-defining moment for Marshall, played by Boseman, when he was a young attorney for the NAACP. Gad plays fellow young lawyer Sam Friedman, who worked with Marshall on the case of black chauffeur Joseph Spell (Sterling K. Brown), who accused by his white employer, Eleanor Strubing (Kate Hudson), of sexual assault and attempted murder.
