See Off-Broadway’s Desperate Measures Celebrate 100 Performances

Desperate Measures—the musical comedy previously seen at The York Theatre Company—celebrated 100 performances Off-Broadway at New World Stages September 13.

Based on Shakespeare’s Measure for Measure, the musical features a book and lyrics by Peter Kellogg and music by David Friedman. After premiering at The York Theatre Company, the show was nominated for the Lucille Lortel and Drama Desk Awards for Outstanding Musical. Desperate Measures won Drama Desks for Outstanding Music for Friedman and Outstanding Lyrics for Kellogg.

The cast features CJ Eldred, William Thomas Evans, Celia Hottenstein, Gary Marachek, Lauren Molina, Sarah Parnicky, Conor Ryan, Peter Saide, and Nick Wyman.
