Tony nominee Marin Mazzie and Broadway contemporaries Devin Ilaw (Miss Saigon), Marva Hicks (Motown the Musical), Javier Ignacio (Side Show), Kathryn Mowat Murphy (Pal Joey), and Shannon Rugani (An American in Paris) plus Emmy winner Susan Lucci joined together April 16 to perform as part of Visible Ink, an annual project put together by Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center to help patients heal through theatre.
Each year, the program directs a staged reading of stories written by oncology patients at the New York-based care facility. The stories range from fictional to autobiographical. This year, 12 patients saw their work performed by award-winning talent.
