Time magazine has named Hamilton creator/star Lin-Manuel Miranda one of its 100 Most Influential People, alongside captains of politics, business and the arts. He was not grouped among Artists on the list, but among Pioneers.

The honor caps a week in which Miranda won the Pulitzer Prize for Drama, and was nominated multiple times in the Drama League and Outer Critics Circle Awards.
