News See Who Will Announce the 2016 Tony Nominations Nominations are less than seven weeks away.

Nominations for the American Theatre Wing’s 70th Annual Antoinette Perry "Tony" Awards are less than seven weeks away. Tony nominee Andrew Rannells and Tony winner Patina Miller have been chosen to announce the nominations May 3 at the Diamond Horseshoe nightclub at New York's Paramount Hotel.

A live webcast of the event will be available at TonyAwards.com. A complete list of the 2016 nominations will be available at TonyAwards.com (and Playbill.com) immediately following the webcast.

The Tony Awards are presented by The Broadway League and the American Theatre Wing. Here is a calendar of deadlines and events for this year's awards.

April 28: Final date for shows to open in order to qualify for 2015-16 Tony eligibility.

May 3: Nominations announced.

May 4: The annual Meet the Nominees Press Reception, at which the nominees will speak with media outlets about their nominations, will take place at the Paramount Hotel.

May 19: The Tony Nominees Luncheon will offer a chance for the nominees to celebrate each other’s achievements and receive their nomination certificates. This event is closed to the media and public.

June 12: The 70th Annual Tony Awards will be given at the Beacon Theatre in New York. The three-hour ceremony will be broadcast live (ET/PT time delay) on CBS-TV 8-11 PM. For more information on the Tony Awards, visit TonyAwards.com.
