International News See Who’s Joining Olivier Winner Elaine Paige in London Palladium’s Dick Whittington The pantomime will play the London venue for five weeks beginning December 9.

Casting is now complete for the London Palladium Pantomime Dick Whittington, which will play the U.K. venue December 9–January 14, 2018.

As previously reported, the company will be led by Olivier winner and musical theatre star Elaine Paige in the role of Queen Rat.

Newly announced for the production are Emma Williams (Mrs. Henderson Presents) and Lukus Alexander (The Who's Tommy), playing the roles of Alice Fitzwarren and Eileen the Cat, respectively.

The two round out the principal cast which also features Julian Clary as Spirit of the Bells, Ashley Banjo as the Sultan, the dance troupe Diversity as The Sultan’s Special Advisors, Paul Zerdin as Idle Jack, Nigel Havers as Captain Nigel, Gary Wilmot as Sarah the Cook, and Charlie Stemp in the title role.

Opening night is set for December 13.

Dick Whittington is written by Alan McHugh, directed by Michael Harrison, choreographed by Karen Bruce with musical supervision and orchestrations by Gary Hind, lighting by Ben Cracknell, set designs by Ian Westbrook, 3D Creations, costumes by Hugh Durrant, visual special effects by The Twins FX, projection design by Duncan McLean, and sound design by Gareth Owen.

Dick Whittington is produced by Nick Thomas and Michael Harrison for Qdos Entertainment, the team behind last year’s Olivier-nominated London Palladium production of Cinderella.
