News Seldes and Shelton to Read "Selected Shorts" May 7 Theatre veterans Marian Seldes and Sloane Shelton will read the works of Pulitzer Prize-winning American novelist Eudora Welty for "Selected Shorts" on May 7.

"Selected Shorts" is the award-winning, one-hour radio program from NPR, which features readings of classic and new short fiction by notable actors from stage and screen. Now in its 20th season, "Selected Shorts" is hosted by Isaiah Sheffer and produced by Symphony Space in New York City. Seldes and Shelton will join actress Kathryn Markey as well as writer Ann Patchett and Welty biographer Suzanne Marrs for the 7:30 PM live reading of "Eudora Welty: A Tribute in Stories" at Symphony Space. Seldes, Shelton and Markey will read Welty's "Lily Daw and the Three Ladies," "The Key" and "A Piece of News."
