Anxious Cabaret-goers, deprived of Alan Cumming for a month following the Conde-Nast construction accident in New York's Times Square, will have to do without the actor for another 10 weeks, starting Sept. 15, when the actor goes on leave to shoot a movie.

Cumming will be on hiatus from the Roundabout Theatre Company revival of Kander & Ebb's musical Sept. 15 to Nov. 22. Robert Sella, currently starring in another Roundabout show, Side Man, will sub the for Tony-winning actor, who plays the Emcee.

Initially signed to stay with the show through Jan. 1999, Cumming has now extended through March 1999.

Prior to making a splash in the U.S. in Cabaret, the 33-year-old Scottish actor had small but noteworthy roles in Romy and Michele's High School Reunion, Spice World, and Circle of Friends.

Sella can currently be seen on Broadway as Clifford, the narrator of Warren Leight's critically-acclaimed play Side Man, through Sept. 13.
