Project sources at the Roundabout Theatre Company say the construction activity at the former Selwyn Theatre is now moving at a "feverish pace" in anticipation of an absolute March deadline. That's when the Roundabout wants the work completed. The nonprofit's first actual production, Uncle Vanya, opens April 23 according to theatre sources.
A source told Playbill On-Line that the renovation is moving so quickly that in the past month there have been visible changes at the site.
"There was a big difference evident from when I last walked through the place a few weeks ago," the project source said, "there's still work to be done, but it's going well."
