The play about a salty editor (Rickman) invited to judge the work of aspiring novelists (Rabe, Linklater, Hettienne Park and Jerry O'Connell) is directed by Sam Gold (The Big Meal, Look Back in Anger).
On April 3, Zoe Lister-Jones will succeed Rabe as Kate (who organizes the group); Jeff Goldblum will succeed Rickman as waspish literary lion Leonard; and Justin Long (TV's "Ed") will succeed Linklater as unsure writer Martin. Park and O'Connell continue in the roles of Izzy and Douglas, respectively.
The new quintet is set to play eight weeks, from April 3 through May 27.
Pulitzer Prize finalist and Peabody Award winner Theresa Rebeck also wrote the plays Mauritius, The Scene, The Understudy and Omnium Gatherum (among many others), was an "NYPD Blue" writer and created the NBC series "Smash."
