Writer and co-creator of Disaster! Seth Rudetsky will head to Chicago for a post-show talkback of the musical comedy. Disaster! opened at the Edge Theater April 15 in a production from Chicago Theatre Workshop directed by Ben Baylon.

Rudetsky will join the creative team for a Q&A on April 21, immediately following the 8 PM performance.

The principal cast of Disaster! is made up of Nathan Cooper, Shannon McEldowney, Warren Dailey, Dan Gold, Charlie Ward, Elissa Newcorn, Pierce Cleaveland, Jessica Vann, Britain Gebhardt, Melissa Young, and Shane Roberie. The ensemble is made up of Marcellus Burt, Kaleb Van Rijswijck, Lily Cox, Kara Schoenhofer.

In Disaster!, earthquakes, tidal waves, infernos, and rampant wildlife aren't enough to stop an outrageous cast of characters from dancing, gambling and singing the night away aboard New York’s first floating casino and discothèque. Through iconic songs from the '70s, the musical pays homage to classic disaster films. The show features a book by Rudetsky and Jack Plotnick.

The creative team for the Chicago Theatre Workshop production of Disaster! is made up of set designer Evan Frank, lighting designers Jennifer Kules and Collin Helou, costume and prop designer Shelby Brand, sound designer Mike Patrick, assistant director Samantha Kittelson, choreographer Megan Farley, and musical director Oliver Townsend.

The production is scheduled to play through May 6. For more information visit ChicagoTheatreWorkshop.org.
