News Seven Brides Update: Musical Will Play at Least Through April 29 Seven Brides for Seven Brothers, which officially opened at the financially troubled Paper Mill Playhouse April 15, will run at least through April 29, if not longer.

According to a statement released by the New Jersey venue April 20, the theatre has raised over $825,000 since its fundraising drive began earlier this month.

"Although the immediate cash crisis is not over," a press statement reads, "the Paper Mill Playhouse Board of Trustees has given management permission to continue the run of Seven Brides for Seven Brothers yet another week (until April 29). This is due to tremendous community support, donations and healthy ticket sales for Seven Brides for Seven Brothers. . . . The loan that Paper Mill is trying to secure to get us through the rest of the season is still in process. . . . It is important that we continue to get the word out that Paper Mill Playhouse is a not-for-profit arts organization that needs immediate AND continued support."

Seven Brides for Seven Brothers is tentatively scheduled to play through May 13. Funding will determine whether the musical can play its entire run.

The Paper Mill Playhouse is located on Brookside Drive in Millburn, NJ. For tickets call (973) 376-4343 or visit www.papermillorg.
