The awards, presented by The American Society of Music Arrangers & Composers, will be held in the Universal Hilton Hotel in Universal City. The ceremony had originally been scheduled for April 29 but had to be postponed when Nestico injured both knees, a press rep confirmed last week to Playbill.com.

Actor-director Rob Reiner will host the evening, which will feature performances from singing comedienne Jenifer Lewis; Hairspray star and Tony winner Marissa Jaret Winokur; jazz musicians John Clayton and Johnny Mandel; and The Citrus College Blue Note Orchestra.

The evening will begin with cocktails and a silent auction at 6 PM, followed by dinner at 7:15 PM and the awards and performances. Proceeds "will benefit ASMAC's educational programs, workshops, master classes, and fund several scholarships," according to press notes.

In addition to his work on Hairspray and the upcoming musical Catch Me If You Can, Shaiman has contributed original songs to Martin Short: Fame Becomes Me and original music to the Nathan Lane-Matthew Broderick revival of The Odd Couple. He has worked as a composer and arranger with Bette Midler and Billy Crystal, on films from "Sister Act" and "When Harry Met Sally" to "The Bucket List," and on multiple awards show broadcasts. He holds an Emmy Award for the "Oscar Medleys" he wrote for Billy Crystal.

Nestico worked with the Count Basie Orchestra for 14 years while simultaneously working as arranger/orchestrator for Capitol Records. He has arranged and/or conducted for Phil Collins, Barbra Streisand, Frank Sinatra, Bing Crosby, Sarah Vaughan, Nancy Wilson and more, and worked in television and film.
