The Shakespeare Society presents A Midsummer Night's Dream on May 8 at 6:30 PM at the Danny Kaye Playhouse. There, Shakespearean scholar and actor Barrie Ingham will host a discussion of the play.

Joining Ingham are actors Lisa Harrow (Wit), Dana Ivey (currently on Broadway in Waiting in the Wings), Roy Dotrice (on Broadway in A Moon for the Misbegotten) and Neal Huff (who was seen in The Tempest on Broadway).

Ingham is currently appearing as Sir Danvers in Jekyll & Hyde at the Plymouth Theatre. A former professor of Shakespeare at the University of Texas, he has performed with the Royal Shakespeare Company, Royal National Theatre and the Old Vic Theatre Company.

Ingham and his fellow participants will discuss A Midsummer Night’s Dream, in an evening that includes film and video clips from noted productions, including James Cagney as Bottom, Judi Dench as Titania, Mickey Rooney as Puck and Roger Rees as Peter Quince.

The two-year-old Shakespeare Society is a nonprofit organization dedicated to the "enjoyment and understanding" of Shakespeare. Admission for members is free and $20 for other general public admission, though the ticket's cost may be applied toward Society membership.
