News Shakespeare's Many Dead Haunt the Living This Halloween The Shakespeare canon is littered with corpses, from overambitious rulers like Macbeth and Julius Ceasar to doomed lovers like Romeo and Juliet.

Come Halloween, all of the Bard's perturbed spirits will rise again to populate William Shakespeare's Haunted House at Off-Broadway's Chashama. The Faux-Real Theater Company production, now in its eighth year, will run Oct. 17 through Nov. 2.

Shakespeare himself, skeletal in body, but fleshy of face, takes the audience through a series of scenes from his comedies, histories and tragedies. Visitors travel through the A Midsummer Night's Dream' Hall of Fairies, put their hands in Julius Caesar's wounds, pass by Ophelia's Riverbed of Death and sit down to dinner with Titus Andronicus.

The script is composed entirely of selections from Shakespeare's plays. Mark Greenfield conceived and directs William Shakespeare's Haunted House

Tickets are $15 in advance, $20 at the door. Chashama is located at 111 West 42nd Street between 6th Avenue and Broadway. For reservations, call (866) 468-7619, online at www.ticketweb.com. or by going to www.fauxreal.org.
