News Shear Madness Reopens at a New Off-Broadway Theatre Today It relights at the Davenport Theatre.

The Off-Broadway whodunit Shear Madness gets a new home today.

The show, which had been running at New World Stages since it opened November 11, 2015, played its final performance there July 10. It reopens July 15 five blocks south at the Davenport Theatre, 354 West 45th Street.

The long-running comedic and interactive Shear Madness, which celebrated its 35th year of performances in Boston, is adapted by Bruce Jordan — who also directs the Off-Broadway staging — and Marilyn Abrams, from Paul Pörtner's German psychodrama. The show is set in a unisex hair salon where a murder takes place. The audience is invited to vote nightly on who is guilty and who isn't, producing varied results.

Tony Award winner Cady Huffman (The Will Rogers Follies, The Producers) joined the cast June 20 as Mrs. Shubert.

Tickets to the New York production, beginning at $49.50, are available online at Telecharge.com or by phone at (212) 239-6200. For more information, visit ShearMadness.com.
