News Sheldon Epps Directs Tutu Benefit at Pasadena Playhouse, May 24 Sheldon Epps, artistic director of the Pasadena Playhouse, will direct Jabulani!--Freedom Rising, a benefit for the Desmond Tutu Peace Trust and Artists for a New South Africa. To be held Monday May 24 at the Wiltern Theatre, the benefit will be addressed by guest of honor Tutu and will star such performers as Joan Baez, Lebo M, Hugh Masakela, Belle Winans and Stevie Wonder.

Sheldon Epps, artistic director of the Pasadena Playhouse, will direct Jabulani!--Freedom Rising, a benefit for the Desmond Tutu Peace Trust and Artists for a New South Africa. To be held Monday May 24 at the Wiltern Theatre, the benefit will be addressed by guest of honor Tutu and will star such performers as Joan Baez, Lebo M, Hugh Masakela, Belle Winans and Stevie Wonder.

Also scheduled to perform are Ted Danson, Ossie Davis, Ruby Dee, Djimon Hounson, Sidney Poitier, Samuel L. Jackson, Alfre Woodward, among others.

There will be a special reception at 6 PM, and a 7:30 PM performance followed by a dinner party.

General tickets are $35-50. Golden Circle (includes reception) $125-$25,000.
