The limited engagement plays five performances Jan. 17-19 at the York Theatre Company at Saint Peter's.
Directed by Robert Brink, the four-member cast features Kerry Conte, Jason Graae (Falsettos, Do Black Patent Leather Shoes Really Reflect Up?), Rhyn McLemore and Aaron Serotsky (August: Osage County).
With lyrics and book by Harnick and music by Jerry Bock, as well as David Baker, Larry Hochman, Michel Legrand, Richard Rodgers and Harnick, A World to Win features music direction by Jeff Saver.
"A World to Win is a sampling of Sheldon Harnick's wide-ranging career as a musical theatre writer. It covers everything from shows on and off Broadway, revues to book musicals, and well-known gems as well as hidden treasures that have never been performed publicly," press notes state. "Most of the music was written by his long-time collaborator Jerry Bock; other songs were composed by Richard Rodgers, Michel Legrand, David Baker, Larry Hochman and even Harnick himself."
The performance schedule for A World to Win is Jan. 17 at 8:00 PM, Jan. 18 at 2:30 PM and 8:00 PM and Jan. 19 at 2:30 PM and 7:30 PM. Audience discussions will follow the matinee performances. The Winter 2014 Musicals in Mufti series will continue with Dragons (Jan. 31-Feb. 2); Malpractice Makes Perfect (Feb. 14-16); Smiling, The Boy Fell Dead (Feb. 21-23); and Tenderloin (March 7-9).
