A new cabaret-style musical, Sheridan Sqaure, gets a reading 6:30 PM Feb. 15 at the Duplex Cabaret Theatre in Greenwich Village. The new concept cabaret has text by Phil Geoffrey Bond and music by Brett Kristofferson plus songs by Irving Berlin, Micki Grant, John Kander and Fred Ebb (“How Lucky Can You Get?”), Richard Maltby Jr. and David Shire (“I Don’t Remember Christmas”) and others. The songs are nestled into the context of three gay men living in New York city, Bond told Playbill On Line.

Bond, an actor and playwright, said the reading is a test for a longer run of the cabaret piece.

Musical direction is by Kristofferson. Bond directs the show.

The Duplex is at 61 Christopher Street. For reservations, call (201) 386 8944.
