Entitled "The Sunny Side of the Street," Lithgow's new CD will hit stores Aug. 29 on the Razor & Tie label. The 13-track disc features tunes from the Great American Songbook with "decidedly animated performances geared towards children." In addition to Scott, the recording also boasts performances by Wayne Knight, Madeleine Peyroux and cabaret sensation Maude Maggart.

John Lithgow was most recently on Broadway as con man Lawrence Jameson Dirty Rotten Scoundrels. His other recent theatrical credits include A.R. Gurney's political comedy Mrs. Farnsworth and The Retreat From Moscow. Lithgow won Tony Awards for his work in The Changing Room and Sweet Smell of Success and received Tony nominations for Scoundrels, Requiem for a Heavyweight and M. Butterfly. He will be seen in the forthcoming "Dreamgirls" film as a 1970s Hollywood producer.
