The evening at the famed jazz club is titled Classic; show time is 7 PM. Cabaretgoers can expect to hear Shindle's renditions of "Black Coffee," "See What I Wanna See," "Drown in My Own Tears" and "Slap That Bass," among others. McDaniel is music director.

Classic, according to press notes, is a "celebration of some of the greatest music of our time. . . . not just an evening of old favorites, but also an exploration of contemporary songs that are destined to become a significant part of the future musical landscape. From Harold Arlen to Stephen Sondheim, Ray Charles to Michael John LaChiusa, this show is about classics old and new."

Kate Shindle, who earned the title of Miss America in 1998, created the role of Vivienne in Legally Blonde: The Musical. She portrayed Sally Bowles in the Roundabout revival of Cabaret and also appeared on Broadway as Lucy in Jekyll & Hyde. Shindle took part in the all-star benefit concerts of Children of Eden, The Secret Garden and Pippin, and her other theatrical credits include A Midsummer Night's Dream, The Woman Upstairs, After the Fall, Himself and Nora, First Lady Suite, The Mousetrap, The Last Five Years, Gypsy, Sympathy Jones and Into the Woods. Shindle has been seen on screen in "Capote," "The Stepford Wives" and "As the World Turns."

An accomplished musician, composer, orchestrator and conductor, John McDaniel has worked on such Broadway shows as Grease!, Brooklyn, Taboo, Patti LuPone on Broadway and the Tony-winning revival of Annie Get Your Gun. He received two Daytime Emmy Awards for his work on "The Rosie O'Donnell Show" and also garnered a Grammy Award for Annie Get Your Gun. He has released three solo "John McDaniel at the Piano" recordings as well as "John McDaniel Live at Joe's Pub."
