Christopher Shinn's new play Dying City, about the home front in the war in Iraq, makes its American premiere Off-Broadway at Lincoln Center Theater's Mitzi E. Newhouse Theater Feb. 15.

Pablo Schreiber and Rebecca Brooksher star in James MacDonald's production, which officially opens March 4. MacDonald also directed the play's world premiere at London's Royal Court Theatre in spring 2006.

Brooksher plays Kelly, a young therapist whose husband dies in the war in Iraq. One year later, the husband's identical twin brother (Schreiber) arrives at Kelly's door, looking for answers to questions about his brother’s death.

Sets and costumes are by Anthony Ward, lighting is by Pat Collins and sound design is by Aural Fixation.

Shinn's plays include Where Do We Live at the Vineyard Theatre (Obie Award for Playwriting), Four at Manhattan Theatre Club, What Didn’t Happen and On the Mountain at Playwrights Horizons, The Coming World and Other People.

MacDonald's New York credits include Caryl Churchill's A Number at New York Theatre Workshop. He has directed many shows at the Royal Court, including the Sarah Kane plays 4.48 Psychosis, Blasted and Cleansed. Schreiber received a Tony Award nomination for his Broadway debut last season in LCT's production of Awake and Sing!. His Off-Broadway credits include Mr. Marmalade and Manuscript, and his screen credits include the films "The Lords of Dogtown," "The Manchurian Candidate," "Into the Fire," "The Mudge Boy" and "Invitation to a Suicide" and the HBO television show "The Wire."

Brooksher is a 2005 graduate of Juilliard making her Off-Broadway debut. She has appeared at the Actors Theatre of Louisville and the Guthrie Theatre and in the CBS television show "Love Monkey."

LCT is also running Tom Stoppard's trilogy The Coast of Utopia at its Broadway space, the Vivian Beaumont Theater, through May 13.
