News Shockheaded Peter Returns to West End , April 4

There's no keeping a bad boy down, and Shockheaded Peter proves the point with a return to the West End for a limited season at the Albery. When it re-opens there on April 4 (running to June 15) it will be the production's fifth London outing since the show premiered (in Leeds) in 1998.

Based on Heinrich Hoffman's tales for children, Struwwelpeter, the show is a gothic mixture of art forms that appeals to a younger and generally rather different audience from that usually found in the West End.

Shockheaded Peter was developed by the West Yorkshire Playhouse in conjunction with the Lyric Hammersmith, opening in Leeds in 1998. It was an immediate success and has proved a hit with audiences all over the globe.

Further details will be announced nearer the opening date.
