Mark Ballas, of "Dancing with the Stars" fame, choreographs A Cinderella Christmas, the second show in the 2011 holiday season of traditional British family Panto, which plays Los Angeles' El Portal Dec. 22, 2011-Jan. 8, 2012.

Directed by Bonnie Lythgoe from "So You Think You Can Dance," the cast features Emmy-nominated comedic actor Fred Willard ("Best in Show") as Cinderella’s father, Baron HardUp; recording artist and Broadway actress Shoshana Bean (Wicked) as the fairy godmother; "American Idol"'s David Hernandez as Dandini; Todd Buonopane ("30 Rock"); and Veronica Dunne in the title role.

Michael Orland is musical director.

An updated version of the classic tale, A Cinderella Christmas features family-friendly updates, a comedic twist and modern music, including "Let's Get Loud" by Jennifer Lopez, "Just Dance" by Lady Gaga, Michael Buble’s "Just Haven't Met You Yet" and Kelly Clarkson’s "Breakaway."

The production is presented in the style of the traditional British family Panto, a modern musical play based on fairytale stories. A Panto, according to the producers, is "known for bringing together families with its interactive style and humor that appeals to fairytale fans of all ages."
