Current Waitress star Shoshana Bean will welcome incoming cast member Todrick Hall to the Brooks Atkinson Theatre a few months before his official first bow as the two co-host a special Pride edition of Cast Album Karaoke June 27.
Those attending the Thursday performance who are interested in performing can sign up before the show. After the curtain call, audience members will be chosen at random to be brought on stage to sing a Waitress song of their choice with the band.
Bean (Wicked, Songs for a New World) is scheduled to play Jenna through July 7. Hall (Kinky Boots, Chicago) will step into the roe of Ogie August 20 through September 15, appearing alongside fellow YouTube star Colleen Ballinger (a.k.a. Miranda Sings) as Dawn.The current cast also includes Erich Bergen as Dr. Pomatter, Charity Angél Dawson as Becky, Ben Thompson as Earl, Larry Marshall as Joe, and Benny Elledge as Cal.
