News Showtime Renews "Nurse Jackie," Cancels "United States of Tara" Showtime has renewed the medical drama "Nurse Jackie," starring The House of Blue Leaves' Edie Falco, and cancelled Toni Collette's series, "United States of Tara," according to The Hollywood Reporter.

"Nurse Jackie," which also features stage actors Eve Best (The Homecoming), Dominic Fumusa (Wait Until Dark) and Anna Deavere Smith (Twilight: Los Angeles, 1992), will conclude its third season in June.

"United States of Tara," also in its third season, will not return for a fourth. The series stars Tony Award nominee Collette as a mother who suffers from multiple personalities. Collette won an Emmy in 2009 and a Golden Globe in 2010 for her work on the show. She was nominated for a Tony for her performance in The Wild Party. Her Showtime series will conclude at the end of June.
