Sapient Interactive's New York studio will work with Shubert Ticketing to enhance Telecharge.com by adding "intuitive navigation tools and cutting edge multimedia features that will ultimately deliver a faster and more enjoyable customer experience," according to a statement.
Ticketbuyers would see changes and enhancements to the site by late 2009, a spokesperson told Playbill.com.
Telecharge.com is the official ticketing agency for most Manhattan theatres "and provides every segment of the entertainment industry" the opportunity for "a dependable, comprehensive system that handles all of a venue's sales needs including box office, telephone, Internet, season tickets and subscription sales."
The revitalized Telecharge.com site "will integrate online retailing technologies to help customers quickly find tickets and answer any questions they have during the ticketing process."
The new site will boast improved navigation and multimedia features "that guarantee a more efficient, intuitive and fun sales experience — which ultimately fosters greater customer loyalty and better conveys the excitement and entertainment value of the Broadway experience." "Sapient's track record of excellence within the travel and entertainment industries coupled with its unrivaled e-commerce expertise made Sapient the best choice for us," said David Andrews, senior vice president, Shubert Ticketing. "We look forward to working with Sapient to integrate new, cutting-edge tools to solidify Telecharge.com's leadership position within the ticketing industry and make our customers' online purchasing experience as enjoyable as the events and performances they attend."
Shubert Ticketing is the latest major client for the fast-growing Sapient Interactive New York studio. Leading brands such as The Wall Street Journal Digital Network, MetLife and Scripps Networks Digital are also new clients this year.
"Sapient Interactive's primary strength is the ability to create memorable customer experiences that are integrated across online and offline channels for respected global brands such as Sony and Times Online, and now, Telecharge.com," said Sapient's chief creative officer Gaston Legorburu. "We are proud to work with Broadway's hallmark ticketing agency and will leverage our insight from the travel and entertainment industries to make the Telecharge.com customer experience even better. Our New York studio will incorporate cutting-edge multichannel sales technologies and improved navigation features to Telecharge.com that will drive sales and promote customer loyalty."
