News Side Show's Longbottom to Be Part of "Right Audition" Seminar The New York Public Library for the Performing Arts will present a panel discussion for young actors that examines the theatre audition process.

Entitled "The Right Audition to Get the Part: Geoffrey Johnson and Friends," the 6 PM program on Nov. 17 will be hosted by Broadway casting director Geoffrey Johnson, who has cast 150 shows in his 40 years in the industry. The panel will also feature Tara Rubin of Tara Casting, Lynne Jebens of the Krasny Agency, Jay Kane of Talent Works and Side Show director/choreographer Robert Longbottom. A question-and-answer session will follow the panel discussion.

As a director/choreographer, Robert Longbottom's Broadway credits include Side Show, The Scarlet Pimpernel and Flower Drum Song. He began his career as a performer, appearing in the New York productions of 42nd Street, Little Johnny Jones and Me and My Girl. He recently staged the tour of Disney's On the Record as well as the Kennedy Center's production of Mister Roberts.

The Bruno Walter Auditorium of The New York Public Library for the Performing Arts is located at 40 Lincoln Center Plaza. There is no charge for attendees. For more information call (212) 642-0142.
