Flea artistic director Jim Simpson will direct the benefit show, which is scheduled for June 4 at 7 PM at The Frederick Loewe Theater (on the campus of New York University).

Gurney's Love Letters follows the story of two friends — attorney and aspiring politician Andrew Makepeace Ladd III and troubled artist Melissa Gardner — who share a lifelong correspondence and mutual attraction. The oft-produced two-hander was adapted by Gurney for the small screen in 1999 starring Steven Weber and Laura Linney.

Weaver — a Gurney veteran of Mrs. Farnsworth (for Flea) — will next appear in the Off-Broadway world premiere of his Crazy Mary at Playwrights Horizons. The actress, known for her film work in the "Alien" series, "Ghostbusters," and her Academy Award-nominated turn in "Gorillas in the Mist," has also appeared on stage in Hurlyburly, The Mercy Seat and The Guys — she also stars in the film version directed by husband Jim Simpson.

Daniels currently appears Off-Broadway in David Harrower's Blackbird at the Manhattan Theatre Club. The actor is also known for such film work as "The Squid and The Whale," "Dumb & Dumber," "Terms of Endearment," "Gettysburg" and more. He also appeared on Broadway in Redwood Curtain, Fifth of July and The Golden Age. Daniels has also written plays, many of which have been staged at Chelsea, Michigan's Purple Rose Theatre Company — of which he is founder and executive director.
