Additional Particulars, a new comedy by Ed Simpson, has added twelve more performances to its world premiere run. The piece, which opened May 13, will now end Aug. 20 at Third Stage in Burbank.
The show reunites Simpson with director Michael Lilly and actors Kirk Bailey, Jack Kehler and David Wells, all of whom were associated with Simpson's Elephant Sighs, which had a successful run at Theatre/Theater last year. Also featured in Additional Particulars is Susan Mackin, who has appeared in three other plays directed by Lilly.
Simpson's latest weaves together the lives of four employees of a discount mart in a small Pennsylvania town. The character-driven story involves a burgeoning love affair and the dreams and hopes of "ordinary people."
Wells recently completed a five-month run in a successful production of Glengarry Glen Ross at Third Stage. Kehler is also a director; Bartenders at Theatre/Theater is a recent credit.
Additonal Particulars will run through July 1 at Third Stage, which is located at 2811 W. Magnolia Blvd. For tickets and information call (818) 842-4755. -- By Willard Manus
