Sinatra: The Man & His Music to Play London Palladium in July | Playbill

News Sinatra: The Man & His Music to Play London Palladium in July Sinatra: The Man & His Music will begin performances at the London Palladium July 10, prior to an official opening July 20, to mark the centenary year of his birth. The only show officially endorsed and supported by Sinatra's family, it will open 65 years since Frank Sinatra’s first-ever European concert took place at the London Palladium in July 1950.

This multimedia show, produced in association with Frank Sinatra Enterprises, features ultra-rare and original master recordings of Frank Sinatra. Using cutting-edge technology and never-before-seen performance footage, the show takes us on a journey through Sinatra's life, told by the man himself alongside personal family photographs and film.

The show is accompanied by a 24-piece orchestra and a company of 20 dancers and singers.

In a press statement, Frank Sinatra Jr. said, "2015 is the year of my father’s centennial. One of the most exciting events we have planned is this London show. My father first played the Palladium in July 1950, so it is fitting that the show will debut in the historic venue, as London was one of his favourite cities in the entire world. We hope his many British fans will come and celebrate with us as the magic Ol’ Blue Eyes will soon be back in town."

Nancy Sinatra added, "The Palladium show is dear to our hearts because my father loved the venue."
