News Singular Sensations Season at London's Charing Cross to Feature Kerry Ellis, Patricia Routledge, Jenna Russell Singular Sensations, a new interview and performance series that will be held Sunday afternoons at London's Charing Cross Theatre, will launch Sept. 15 with an appearance by Kerry Ellis, who was the first English actress to portray Elphaba in the London production of Wicked, subsequently reprising that role on Broadway.

She will be followed by appearances by composer Howard Goodall (Oct. 6), actress Janie Dee (Nov. 10), conductor John Wilson (Dec. 8), actress Patricia Routledge (Jan. 19) and actress Jenna Russell (Jan. 26, 2014). Edward Seckerson, formerly long-time presenter of BBC Radio 3's "Stage and Screen," will host the series of in-depth encounters, in which using a mixture of chat, recordings and live performance, their careers will be traced. Ellis, Goodall, Dee and Russell will all perform live. Wilson and Routledge will share favorite or treasured recordings.
