News Sister of Jerome Robbins Dies at Fiddler's Opening Night Sonia Cullinen, the sister of late director-choreographer Jerome Robbins, died of a heart attack minutes before the Feb. 26 opening-night curtain of the current Broadway revival of Fiddler on the Roof, a show her brother originally staged.

Ms. Cullinen was 91 years old. She suffered the heart attack just before curtain, while seated at the Minskoff Theatre. The call of "Is there a doctor in the house?" went out and Ms. Cullinen was placed in the aisle, according to an eye witness. Paramedics rushed her to Bellvue Hospital where she was pronounced dead on arrival. The opening peformance, scheduled to begin at 6:30 PM, commenced at 7 PM.

"On behalf of the entire company of Fiddler on the Roof, we offer our deepest sympathy and condolences to Ms. Cullinen’s family," said the producers of Fiddler on the Roof in a prepared statement.
