The first four previews of Sisterella have been canceled reportedly due to 'problems with the set.' The show is still expected to open as planned in Melbourne on Saturday night March 7, after only two previews (Thursday and Friday).

The first three preview performances were canceled last week, with tickets being exchanged for any performance until March 15. The fourth preview of the Larry Hart musical had been sold as a major fund-raiser for Multiple Sclerosis. Producers will refund the charity and also supply tickets for alternate nights free of charge.

Michael Jackson is still being tipped to attend on Saturday night, with 30 prime tickets allocated in case of his possible arrival. Jackson is listed, and widely promoted, as the show's co-Executive Producer.

Producers for the show recently admitted the show had gone over its original 5 million dollar (Australian $) budget and that ticket sales had been poor. Sales have picked up in recent weeks after a major promotional campaign and a number of major television appearances by the cast in full-costume production numbers.
