News Six-Episode "Working in the Theater" Marathon to Air June 7 The American Theatre Wing will offer a marathon of its popular "Working in the Theater" series June 7 in celebration of the 2009 Tony Awards.

From 1-7 PM, the American Theatre Wing will present six episodes of "Working in the Theater" from the past several seasons.

The June 7 "Working in the Theater" schedule follows:

  • "At Work and Play: Lead Actors 2009” at 1 PM
    Jane Alexander, Bill Irwin, Angela Lansbury, Cynthia Nixon and Geoffrey Rush guest. Moderated by Howard Sherman.
  • "Making Ogre Broadway" at 2 PM
    Book writer and lyricist David Lindsay Abaire, composer Jeanine Tesori, producer Bill Damaschke, director Jason Moore and producer Caro Newling discuss Shrek the Musical. Moderated by Melissa Rose Bernardo.

  • “Horton Foote's America” at 3 PM
    The late playwright is joined by his daughter Hallie Foote, as well as Signature Theatre Company artistic director James Houghton, Primary Stages artistic director Andrew Leynse and Harford Stage artistic director Michael Wilson. Moderated by Howard Sherman.
  • "Leading Men” at 4 PM
    Jeff Daniels, Brian Dennehy, Liev Schreiber and Kevin Spacey guest. Moderated by Howard Sherman.
  • “Fluidity & Change: Directors 2009” at 5 PM
    Directors Thomas Kail, Moisés Kaufman, Bartlett Sher, Leigh Silverman and Kate Whoriskey guest. Moderated by Gordon Cox.
  • “Stage Veterans 2009” at 6 PM
    Philip Bosco, John Cullum, Marian Seldes and Carole Shelley share stories of working with Sir John Gielgud, Joseph Papp, Morris Carnovsky, Lee J. Cobb, George C.
