"Commissioned and written specifically for the moody and extremely intimate close quarters in the basement space of downtown restaurant Jimmy's No. 43 [at 43 East Seventh Street], Skillman has written a play in which six people come together, each for their own reasons, at a restaurant on the Lower East Side," according to Rising Phoenix. "Obsessively going over the events of the day, they grasp at trying to come to terms with their disjointed lives and their singular, unsettling dream."

Directed by RPR artistic director Daniel Talbott, Nobody will feature MacLeod Andrews (Too Much Memory, Somewhere in the Pacific), Jessica Dickey (The Amish Project, The Fourposter), Kathryn Kates (Waxing West, The Babka Lady on "Seinfeld"), Polly Lee (Close Ties, Slag Heap), Haynes Thigpen (The Revenger's Tragedy, Hamlet at McCarter) and Molly Ward (The Shape of Metal, The Seagull and Three Sisters at A.R.T.).

Playwright Skillman is the author of the full-length plays The Sleeping World, 4 Edges, The Vigil or the Guided Cradle and The Telling Trilogy (her previous play for Rising Phoenix Rep; published in Plays & Playwrights 2008 and nominated for an NYIT Award).

Director Daniel Talbott most recently worked as an actor on The Master Builder (Irish Repertory Theatre), Rocket City (Alabama Shakespeare Festival), Tartuffe (McCarter Theatre/Yale Rep), Marat/Sade (Classical Theatre of Harlem) and the feature film "Pretty Bird." Recent directing work includes The Umbrella Plays (the teacup company at FringeNYC), Fall Forward (Sitelines/River to River Festival produced by the Lower Manhattan Cultural Council) and The Reaching (Rising Phoenix Rep). His play What Happened When was produced in 2007 at HERE Arts Center and in Chicago at The Side Project, and was published as part of the Plays and Playwrights 2008 anthology. He received a 2007 New York Innovative Theatre Award for directing and is a graduate of Juilliard and of Solano College Theatre's ATP.
