Described as a loose adaptation of Mozart's opera The Magic Flute, The Queen of the Night will incorporate the composer's music along with new songs. The New York Times first reported details of the production.

The creative team includes Tony Award-winning scenic designer Christine Jones (American Idiot) and cirque artist Shana Carroll, the co-founding artistic director of Les 7 Doigts de la Main (represented on Broadway this season with Pippin), as well as creative director and style trendsetter Giovanna Battaglia, fashion designer Thom Browne, producer and nightlife impresario Simon Hammerstein (Natasha, Pierre & the Great Comet of 1812), designer Douglas Little, Sleep No More and Rocky lighting designer Austin R. Smith, and Tony-winning sound designer Darron L West (Peter and the Starcatcher).

Paramount Hotel owner Aby Rosen has invested $20 million into the renovation of the 6,000-square-foot Diamond Horseshoe space for the six-week run of Queen of the Night

Queen of the Night is described in the following manner: "The Marchesa presents Queen of the Night, a dark debutante ball for her daughter Pamina. Queen of the Night is a fusion of performance, music, circus, cuisine, design, and nightlife that welcomes the audience into a wholly interactive entertainment experience. Over the course of the gala, guests are engaged, entertained, and immersed in this genre-blurring initiation, creating an unforgettable evening."

Packages include such options as sit-down feast with wine, open premium bar, as well as a premium package that includes seating at the Queen's table with heightened interaction from cast members, a full seafood feast with delicacies, and bottle service including champagne throughout the performance. Food and beverage will be overseen by LDV Hospitality with chef Jason Kallert and designed by Jennifer Rubell. Tickets range $125-$450. Visit diamondhorseshoe.com.
