Performances will begin Nov. 21 in the California company's Audrey Skirball Kenis Theater for a run slated through Dec. 16. Opening night is scheduled for Nov. 22.

Considered one of the world's great sleight-of-hand artists, Jay will perform "a fascinating blend of card artistry and verbal chicanery," according to a release.

Due to the intimate space (only 96 audience members will be allowed per show), latecomers will not be seated. No one under 17 will be admitted.

Jay has also performed his other sleight-of-hand show Ricky Jay: On the Stem Off-Broadway under the direction of Mamet. A constant collaborator with the scribe, he has appeared in such Mamet films as "Heist," "State and Main" and "The Spanish Prisoner" as well as such non-Mamet works as "Boogie Nights," "Magnolia" and "Tomorrow Never Dies." Other credits include "Deadwood" and "Kidnapped."

The Geffen Playhouse next houses Carrie Fisher's Wishful Drinking, which starts Nov. 7. Also slated are David Mamet's Speed-the-Plow (Jan. 30-March 18, 2007), Neil LaBute's Fat Pig (March 9-May 20, 2007), Tom Stoppard's translation of Gérald Sibleyras' Heroes (April 10-May 27, 2007) and Hershey Felder's George Gershwin Alone (June 5-July 22, 2007).
