Smith, Patton, Weaver, Williams and Alexander to Star in Bay Street's Ain't Misbehavin'

News   Smith, Patton, Weaver, Williams and Alexander to Star in Bay Street's Ain't Misbehavin' Casting is now complete for the Bay Street Theatre engagement of Ain't Misbehavin', which begins performances Aug. 5.

Conceived by Richard Maltby, Jr., the nostalgic revue is composed of Fats Waller songs including "Squeeze Me," "I've Got a Feeling I'm Falling," "The Joint Is Jumpin'," "Mean to Me," "Your Feets to Big," "Keepin' Out of Mischief Now," "I'm Gonna Sit Right Down and Write Myself a Letter" and the title song.

Marcia Milgrom Dodge (Simeon's Gift) directs a cast that will include Q. Smith (Les Miserables), Monica Patton (Little Ham), Jim Weaver (Children of Eden), Aurelia Williams (TUTS' Dreamgirls) and James Alexander (A Brief History of White Music).

Dodge will also serve as choreographer in association with assistant Jim Weaver. The creative team also features William Foster McDaniel (musical direction), James Noone (set design), Kirk Bookman (lighting design), Emilio Sosa (costume design), Tony Melfa (sound design) and Kathy Fabian (prop design).

Ain't Misbehavin' officially opens Aug. 9 and will run through Aug. 31.
